- Day one, jot down or create 1 to two goals for your day.
- If that task or goal is doable in a day, work hard to complete it, utilizing all the tools available.
- If you don’t complete the task by the end of your work day, jot down all the things that stopped you from completing your goal. The distractions can be as simple as excess social media, social distractions, phone calls or excess multitasking.
- Day two, Task that were not completed the day before have priority. Add that task to your new days goals. Work to minimize all the things that hindered you from achieving your task or goal.
It is always a good thing to have 5 year, 10 year longer goal for your business or life, but it is the completion of day to day incremental steps that make over arching goals a reality. Working to complete these task and adding them to your bucket of checked items, helps to create a sense of progress. This process is applicable in all walks of life.
